Have I Got A Story For You (Studio 4°C)

 Synopsis(with no spoilers):

Four kids meet up at their usual skateboarding location and three of them shared their recently experienced tales of the batman and an unknown villian.

Since DC Comics had decided to snub the Japanese studios and focus on the writers, I will do the reverse!

Information about this short film:

Studio: Studio 4°C
Founded: 1986
Noteable Production: Transformers: Animated (U.S. TV) (I don’t recognise other anime shows..I am nub)

Director: Shoujirou NISHIMI
Staff in:
Akira (movie) : In-Between Animation
Case Closed: The Fourteenth Target (movie) : Key Animation
Mind Game (movie) : Key Animation
Tekkonkinkreet (movie) : Storyboard, Character Design, Overall Animation Director

Character design of Tekkonkinkreet was apparently brought into this short film according to a review by Zac Bertschy over at ANN.

The director seemed pretty new with not much shows under his belt but nevertheless, it was a job well done.

Comments:

Since it was a pretty short film, I wouldn’t talk much about the plot which is paperthin anyway. You could say the focus here is the way the film is narrated and on the character’s reaction to the events around them. The art is great (big budget), the animation is fluid but batman is *ahem, pudgy. However, the last scene reflects his squarish jaw quite accurately compared to the animated series. You could say the kids imagination was the highlight of this show ;). Enjoy the screenies.

Batman:

It’s a bird!

It’s a plane!

It’s Ironman batman! Looks like Tony Stark had been making off some $$ from fellow billionaire with the recent crash in stocks of Stark industries.

The narrators:

Who wants to shoot me first? Aim for the red dot and you get a prize.

ROOOAR!

Sterotype in progress: niggers have big melons.

Look at the backdrop, it’s B.E.A.UTIFUL.

More screenshots of the first film, man, these looks like gameart out of the Fallout series (my favourite RPG EVER) or even Final Fantasy VII.

Enter the vault.

Uhm, that’s not batwing, that’s…a batshaped bridge. How much did bruce pay the engineers?

Gotham City.

Gotham City of Midgar

Where is John Connor?

How would I know?

Now you see me..

Now you don’t.

A short commerical Break, watch this sick worms armageddon video of moves:
